Our Executive Director
Greetings! My name is Traci Gurley-Tomashosky and I am the Executive Director for United Way Battlement to the Bells. I am proud to be a part of UWBB as it continues to be a leader within the human service non-profits from Battlement Mesa to Aspen including the Crystal River Valley. Currently, we are working to fill volunteer positions for our partner non-profits participating in our United Way Battlement to the Bells AmeriCorps VISTA Project.
As Executive Director I am often asked, “But why AmeriCorps?” As a non-profit funder since 1983 UWBB has always done what it could to support local non-profits, however more recently we recognized and were told by many of local non-profits that what they could use more than anything was people to help them build capacity. They needed help in creating programming, grant writing, establishing and managing online networking and volunteer programs. With these needs in mind, Christopher May and Amy Barr started the United Way Battlement to the Bells AmeriCorps VISTA Project in November of 2017. As we move forward with the United Way Battlement to the Bells Americorps VISTA Project we look forward to expanding the project to bring more volunteers to the Roaring Fork Valley.
United Way Battlement to the Bells continues to work closely with those non-profits focusing on health, financial well-being and educaiton. As United Way Battlement to the Bells leader, I look forward to what lies ahead.
